Overview
Bath is a picturesque historic city west of London near Bristol. Buildings made of limestone line the streets. Having once been home to the Romans, the Roman Baths are now a popular attraction. These hot water springs were once credited with incredible healing powers. The mineral rich, hot, spring water was harnessed for the use of bathing. While the old baths are no longer safe due to bacteria growth and lead, a new bath was created. People can go to the bath for a spa like experience in the hot, steamy water. In addition, Bath is known for being the city where author Jane Austen lived. Visitors may visit a museum for her and admire the city that influenced her writing.
