Overview

This page details the life of Franklin Delano Roosevelt

Background

Franklin Delano Roosevelt served as the 32nd President of the United States of America from 1933 until his death in 1945. He led the country through the Great Depression and was on the winning side with allies in World War Two. To show how much the British people owed great gratitude towards FDR, they erected a monument to FDR at Westminster Abbey, right next to the monument dedicated to Winston Churchill.
