Abstract
1) This milestone is about discovering what influenced Shakespeare's writings in terms of writing style and each play's plot as well as what influences he has had on society today. I plan to create a picture slide show of what Shakespeare's surroundings as he was writing several plays for readers so they can visualize what Shakespeare was trying to coney through words.
2) In high school I had read and wrote many papers about Much Ado About Nothing, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet, A Thousand Acres (based off of King Lear) and Macbeth. Then when I started WPI I helped with the sound engineering of Taming the Shrew and I read parts of the Merchant of Venice. I have taken two theater classes in my freshman year. In my Introduction to Drama class, I preformed several lines from Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing.

Introduction
No matter where you are, if you mention the name Shakespeare, someone is bound to know and can possibly name at least one of his plays. He is one of the most prolific writers of his time writing at least 38 plays. I want to explore his effect in London as well as near his residence in Stratford-upon-Avon as well as what effect these places had on his writings. I will be attending different performance of several of his works as well as visiting his home. I will be writing about my experiences and taking many pictures.

Richard the III
Setting: London around 1483 -1485
List of locations:
- Banyards Castle, England - Baynard's Castle refers to buildings on two neighbouring London sites, between current-day Blackfriars station and St Paul's Cathedral.
- The Tower of London

- Warwick Castle which is located next to Stratford-upon-Avon
Henry VI
Setting: London around 1445
The play is set entirely in England, in palaces – of the king, the Duke of York, the Duke of Winchester and the Cardinal of Winchester -, gardens and battlefields.

Section 2: Deliverable
Shakespeare Effect On London
- Explore some of the places that Shakespeare has referenced and wrote about and look for how he has or if he had changed it.
London's Effect on Shakespeare
How much of Shakespeare's writing is based on his natural surroundings? I will be exploring several of the places Shakespeare has said to write some of his works. Procure a slideshow of several plays scenic inspiration.
